Syria's arms were tied by Russia since they are allies with Israel. They had all kinds of shit from Russia they could have lobbed at Israel but weren't allowed to use it other than defending themselves from ISIS kike proxies.
And the only reason Bavar-373 failed was because they were ACKed before they could even be turned on due to the Mossad op. So no one has actually ever seen it operate properly. But even in its crippled state it managed to keep their skies clear enough to get a few decent missile salvos off. Either way they should have bought into an outside system by one of the big arms dealer countries because the issue is manufacturing replacement components/munitions which becomes hard when you're under siege. Vs. with an outside system where you can just get replacement hardware manufactured elsewhere and flown in.
Persian pride is definitely their greatest weakness and it almost got them annihilated. But yeah. They probably aren't going to let the lesson they learned on that go to waste. So they're probably going to become the main test state for China's arms industry going forward.
