How do poor people afford nice expensive cars? That's gotta be a brewing problem in the future

They are rentals/leases.
By the time they actually own the cars, they're falling apart, so they just sell the lease to someone else.

People put a lot of emphasis on looking wealthy even if they aren't. It's very nouveau riche.

They’re leased. It’s why every retard picks up a dodge ram instead of a nice Chevy / GMC.

People want the status of a vehicle to peacock without thinking about what makes a vehicle useful or cool.

People taking on loans they can’t afford is the backbone of the entire industry, there are plenty of places that will give a loan to anyone at insane rates and then collect ASAP when they can’t pay. the whole sub prime mortgage crisis was people being given loans they shouldn’t have. they’re still doing it.

LOOOONG LOOOOONG leases with high interest.
Live for now mentality, any problems that may come are future problems to be figured out then.

I kind of get it, you want a nice car in your 20s, you get the most out of the experience then not when you are senile, but fuck, it just such a heavy price to your overall financial health.

In auto finance. Typically it's a lease or the term is long at 7 or 8 years. Sometimes they get a gullible family member like a grandmother to cosign. Best believe they get underwritten because on these extended term loans the interest revenue at the start of the loan is incredible. Sometimes they want a new car or a lower payment so 2-3 years from the nice car they get a Hyundai or Nissan to bury the negative equity.

In a few short years you are absolutely going to see banks and lenders hire more in their legal departments for both reposessions and to garnish wages.

have you seen tv recently? out of 3 ads, one is for bad credit based lending or credit score raising. getting people on the debt treadmill is key to this usury based economy.
the other two is for a pharmaceutical and sports gambling
