This can't be done because dog ownership is a symptom of much deeper psychological problems. Males (not men) need them for "companionship" because they are desperately lonely but are too afraid to form healthy relationships with other humans.
Females who own dogs seem to exclusively own male dogs and keep them as living sex toys. This stems from deep insecurity and shame regarding her own high sex drive. This shame prevents her from seeking sexual fulfillment from a human partner.
Such people can't be fixed.

There is little to no widespread evidence to support this. Most dogs for basically all of human history would have been livestock guardians with limited interaction with humans, not at all pets like you know them.
