We drive slower in Canada because the same number in kilometers is less than the number in miles.

hey mutt, you don't have to. if you're smart like a bong you can just use both systems. we use metric but all our road signs are in miles. it's not that hard. it's understandable that you're a bit hesitant that your smoothbrained countrymen can rise to the same level as bongs. give it a go, who knows, you might just pull it off.

Cant come up with a reason because there are none. Only stupid bs reason I can come up with is that it would be heaven for those who love wasting gov money on an idea. Cant even start thinking about how many billions that would have cost doing in The US.

ah yes.
the kilometer....
One forty-thousand and seventy-fifth of the earth's circumference! So logical and scientific compared to the inferior mile being one twenty-four thousand and nine hundred-first of the earth's circumference...

We already took your metric and threw it on the pile with all the other measurements. Unlike poor communists who can only afford to scrape together a single system of measure, the US has all the measurements it could want and more. We've got piles of them just sitting around waiting to be used for one obscure application.

Also, nobody even uses those things. The definition of a Meter is currently "the length equal to 1650763.73 wavelengths in vacuum of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the levels 2p10 and 5d5 of the krypton 86 atom."
Talk about a conversion ratio, 1,650,763.73 to 1. Keep that in your heads. Where's the Metric wavelength when you need it?

Sorry, not even. Your meters sure are inconsistent. Currently it's "the length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299,792,458 of a second.
You're gonna need to get the frogs to invent metric light to get that down to a 10:1 ratio.

Americans drive more, so distances would feel absurdly long if they are suddenly converted into kilometres. Also if we changed speed limits to km, there will certainly be retards who didn't get the memo and will drive their car at that new number but in miles per hour.

Why they want America to split into regional economic zones, why they want the world like that, why they want an even balance of ethnicities in each region.

Metric destroys your brain. There's nothing to think about, just easily worked out percentages.
Imperial, using fractions goes that step further. It keeps your brain ticking. Sometimes, when you put two of something together , you create a third effect, like electricity and magnetism create electromagnetism.
When brits started using decimal currency, thats when the rot set in, no more pound, shilling and pence, just pound and pence.
There is a fine point of balance between making things simple to understand and creating a breeding ground for stupidity.
