America was a Puritan society back then. There have always been wicked people who do evil, but the average slave owner was not torturing, raping or sodomising their slaves. Many slaves were treated so well they would reject freedom or even if they took it kept good relationships with their previous masters.

The American slave trade narrative is deceptive and relies on lies or taking the most extreme cases and making out like they were normal. They were not. Jews are lying filth and as with anything they tell you, there will be very important omissions, lots of ridiculous exaggerations, and a laying blame totally on one side even if they literally attacked Iran first.

Did X bad thing happen? Maybe. I am not omniscient. Was it common? No. Was it even uncommon? No. It was unheard of and sticks in the minds of the masses today because when the stories first circulated, they were seen as so abhorrent that everyone kept talking about it. So the ultra ortodox protestants, not fake, but actual true born fundamentalists that live in the US, were suppose to not just have sex outside marrige (I can imagine explanations for that, especialy with sola scriptura and Salomons 400 wives/concubines), but have public gay sex to "break" the will of slaves.
