They can be small daily goals.
A famous example would be doing ONE pushup.
Unless you have some sort of severe health problem, you can probably do one singular, tiny, little pushup. Maybe you'll decide to do more than one, but as long as you get down and do a single pushup, you completed that daily goal.
Maybe it's to take 15 minutes to learn a language. If the language is fairly similar to yours, that's enough to learn one in a couple years.
Maybe you want to lose weight and so your goal is to just eat fewer calories than you burn. It's just doing a bit of math before stuffing your face and you can easily lose 2 lbs per week. After a year, that's more than 100 lbs.
