It's so shitty, abusive, and turbulent. Everyone is an interesting cynical character with a checkered past or some sort of awkward non-entity. People with knives wait around every corner to stab you in the back. So you can laugh along the way, fools and open liars lord over you and receive the universal acclaim of the masses. Suddenly, when you least expect it, life will throw at you a major success or a beautiful moment that you will cherish forever. Somehow you're guaranteed to survive despite all the odds, and win, as long as you maintain the will to keep on living and take whatever blows this insane bitch lands on you. It is such a corrupt and ragged planet but the possibility of the righteous man's survival and success in the midst of it all and despite all its futile and poorly thought-out efforts to purge him, as well as the eternal triumph of his good works and his faith, makes me love it as it is evidence of God's love and providence for His elect. It is a crazy whirlwind of an adventure and I win every time simply because I refuse to die.
