Does it ever bother you that kids today exist in a world devoid of soul? My nephew got a PS5 for his birthday and he had to go through this gay setup thing, get his WiFi password, and then the game took an hour and a half to install on top of that.

It just broke my heart a little bit to compare that experience to getting a GBC, putting in two batteries, a game, and having the best night ever

I know this isn't the most political thread but will it ever be addressed in such a way? It was funny to mock zoomers but is every generation from here on in going to be raised on absolute slop?

I understand that. I guess it's just the fact that the whole console is optimized for a 37 year old man with high functioning autism and is so...negligent of it being a core memory for a kid. It was just so lifeless of an experience. Like he had to bottle up his joy as we went through the setup process and installed the game. He had a good time with it (Astrobot) but I felt grateful in that moment that I was able to plug in my PS2 and play Vice City all night without much of a setup on my birthday 6 trillion years ago.
