What happens in the end? Once the immigrants run out and even indians can't afford to lose its people, there will be a global population contraction. This decline will destroy "productivity" and collapse global economies. People in the 3rd world will suffer as foreign aid and support is cut off, and western countries will suffer as they lose access to global logistics and trade. Eventually the populations will rebound to a more stable state and humanity will (hopefully) abandon the infinity "productivity" growth model. This is still centuries away, though.

The global fertility rate has gone down since about 1960. Average human life span has gone up in the same time period. The babyboomers are only just now reaching the end of their estimated lifespans, and will begin dying off in the next 10 or so years, and probably keep dying off for the next 20-25 years. This is where you will see the population actually start to precipitously decline, unless they just go full mask-off replacement migration to avert it. You think that's what they've been doing, but they haven't, not yet. They've been carefully allowing just enough illegal migration to prevent a total population decline, to keep us ahead of China and Russia, who are going to crash very, very hard in the next 50 years.

No, the decline will very very fast once it sets in. Fewer people have been born every generation since the 1960s, so this means our current age pyramid is very top heavy. This means that a significant portion of the population are going to start dying off in a short span of time, causing our population to drop precipitously when that happens.
