In my town, virtually non-existent.
Wealthy limousine liberal town. They're all progressive, but it's that Martha's Vineyard style progressive where they promptly ship minorities and poor people to a different town, then pat themselves on the back.
In nearly every other town in the region, it's a huge problem.

Total bum death.

Denver will do anything to be more progressive than thou. More than once while downtown I've seen groups of shitlibs deliver boxes of food to the parks so the bums there can continue doing their drugs and harassing people.
No shortage of white college folk that are willing to fund their fent habits either, and we have more drug dealers than at least anywhere in this part of the US

The heat and humidity have gotten so bad that outdoor living just isn't survivable in the summers anymore, so the population of bums seems to be dwindling. More show up in the winter, then die or leave when summer comes around.

Pretty bad. Between two larger areas that police panhandling pretty hard and along a major highway so they all drift into here. Little tent communities hidden in the woods come and go as seasons change, leaves fall, and make them visible from the road again. When i was a kid it was so uncommon that the few homeless people we had were well know, cared for and part of the community, and even loved. A park was dedicated was dedicated to one of the most well know by the city even. Now they're just people who come and go, steal, start fights, do drugs in motels, and make town feel unsafe in a way it never did 20 years ago. They're not the only change that's made things worse though. I actually have less animosity towards the drifters than a do the wealthy outsiders.

There's a bum who has lived on the greenbelt near my old place in Austin for so long that his "house" is now on Google Earth 3D. He deals heroin to the other bums and shits in the woods. The whole area stinks like sewage and fent smoke. He has been doing this since 2019. One of the many reasons I left that shithole. Drug bums getting pandered to and proliferating coincided with BLM and is a major stain on our cities in the USA. Mass extermination is the only solution.

There's a shitload of bums. A bunch of them spend all day right outside the office building I'm required to come into for work. Yesterday I accidentally made eye contact with one while he was mid meth smoke.

Bums per se aren't really a problem, the real problem is the shitskin bums.
White bums don't mess with anyone nor with any business, they just want to be left alone, maybe they'll set up a coin pot for begging but not actively engage pedestrians.
Shitskin bums though? They use drugs anywhere, be it in front of a business or a school, they do the nigger walk of "I own this place (street)", actively seek fights with pedestrians, constantly kill rival bums or get killed by their drug dealers, piss and shit in front of businesses, harass business owners and clients, harass holes and children, the bolder ones threaten to knife you, but most just stick to threatening to fuck you car up if you don't pay them some money, etc.
We've also got the "security bums", which 100% of the times are shitskins who implicitly state that if you don't pay them to "watch" your car you parked in the public sideroad parking, "bad things" will happen to it, which generally means keying your car. Though they only go through with their threat when they are COMPLETELY certain the victim won't fuck them in some way, which means they target twinks/leftists, lone and helpless looking holes, and the elderly. They don't even dare approach burly men or men in suits.
There's also a new fad, which are the shitskin hole bums who hang out at drug stores and ask for donations, money or products, to buy whatever necessities their baby needs. They also bring their baby for maximum pity points. Thing is, these holes have male "watchers" nearby, who protect the hole when someone gets pissed off at them, and also sees if they can catch some donator who looks muggable and doesn't have a car. Sometimes they bring their entire family to hang out at the drug store, that is, the husband, the hole, and their litter of at least +3 children, all putting on an act of being le sad and poor, and sometimes the adults even have the gall to openly cuss you for buying some edible for yourself, lol.

I think the only difference is that they're more likely to just throw a fit instead of trying to attack you the way dindus do.
