How did the Taliban win against the US military?

If they did not win like I’m assuming, explain how this is the case?
I’m of the opinion that they did win due to them being the current rulers of Afghanistan. But I’m open to different perspectives on the matter however

The Taliban was CIA from day zero.

They didnt beat america you idiot they beat the hodgepodge ramshackle coalition of local Afghani militias organised under a hypercorrupt and informal military architecture which western coalition forces set up in a miserable, half-assed, and feckless attempt to create a stable puppet government in Afghanistan

You cannot defeat a group united by a common ideology. If you kill a single arab, 1000 more will take up arms in revenge.

It's why the opposite (multiculturalism) is pushed so hard in the west - as long as we are bickering amongst ourselves, we won't join together to push back against anything.

Deep popular support, same problem as Vietnam and northern Ireland. Unless you're going to kill every last person in an occupied country if they want you gone you'll never win. The real trip is how soldiers who finished the war on both sides were all born well after 9/11

The point of that war wasn't to win anything as quickly as possible, it was to have a war for as long as possible; thereby keeping the defense industries (military-industrial complex) and related economy rolling. Remember that "War is politics by other means."
