Goodbye. It's been fun. And enlightening, really. But this place has been infested. Ever since we gained access to X/Twitter again /pol had a noticeable decline, but I feel it's now critical. 48 hours ago the chief of NATO called Trump 'Daddy' on live television. He later went on to clarify and even defend this remark. I haven't seen one thread. What I have seen is Mamdani spam, at a level rarely eclipsed (Hunter Bidens Dick and the Vance edits come to mind) by this board. What's more telling is it's the same two threads

Firstly his wife has (to me) an unappealing body type. Secondly socializing grocery stores threatens local businesses (only to illustrate nothing in economics is so simple as leftists purport) but that's besides the point; 'we' aren't afraid of his economic policies rather his turbo cringe beliefs regarding law and order and cultural stances such as (this is real)

I've always meant to sort of write down my full unadulterated political thoughts here, devoid of irony and trolling and I might still do that someday but I'm stepping back for now. 4chan is being engineered into another Reddit, and honestly that just isn't such a huge deal anymore. The internet is opening up in new ways and we no longer have to rely on this place for exploring ideas that are elsewhere banned.
