This conflict has only solidified the regime and made them out to be heroes defending Iran from Israeli aggression and immoral acts against the Palestinians. The Iranian people don't like Reza Pahlavi because he has strong ties to Israel and has come out in support of the Israeli attacks. He has also criticized the last major coup attempt against the regime, saying it was reckless and that violence shouldn't be used. Meanwhile his father the shah said he wanted to be buried next to the men who fought in that coup. They're not the same politically, the people don't want his son in power. Now Iran is still cleaning up the terrorists from Afghanistan and India who Israel paid to blow up their air defenses, and the regime is doing a good job with all the propaganda involved in that. Unfortunately the war has strongly solidified the regime.

Also, it is good distinguish internal from external policies. Iran was fighting ISIS and spread of Wahhabism, when protecting Christians and Syria. USA and Israel financed and armed ISIS and Al Qaeda whereas Iran fought them.
