What makes you think they aren't? Universe is a big place and who knows how big outside the the universe is. We cannot even comprehend it. If there is a demonic plane in between some dimension why wouldnt it come to a place where it can influence shit. It wouldnt even be limited by distance since at higher dimensions you could feasably travel the whole universe almost instantly.

I think there is a higher chance of them existing than not existing from a scientific logical standpoint

Not literal demon possession. Left hand path satanist in love with evil types thinking it's freedom do exist. There are even a lot of those sorts around here these days I'd wager with the o9a shills and all. Regardless, there's plenty enough evil in the hearts of men without needing literal demons and possession to explain wickedness. Malaveolent forces do exist in in most vases think more the screwtapes letters wormwood as a temptor, or a cartoon devil on your shoulder whispering in your ear. At the end of the day we're all possessed by evil, by the devil, that is the essence of what The Fall was and why salvation is not through our own works but through Christ. I won't claim it doesn't exist outright since there is of course legion as well as talk of unclean spirts but legion was not subtle, they did not attempt to hide what they were. I think most evil is the evil that resides in us, perhaps amplifed or drawn out by other spiritual forces, but as much our own and part of us as the divine spark that brought life from dust.
