Internationalism meant cooperation between nations under an established framework, as opposed to nationalism and putting the interests of your nation above everything else in absolute sense. Think the EU or the USSR or the UN.

I hung out with commies irl when I was studying in college and they were all pro immigration and when I would tell them that the slaves that are imported are used by corpos they would just say the immigrants would get a better life standard living here rather than not coming at all.
