That Ukrainian lithium deal was made to give maga crowd a pretext to side with Ukrainians. Nobody knows if lithium is there, how much it is and if it will be ever proftable to extract it. That's why deal turned from very disadvantageus for Ukraine into very advantageus - nobody in US trully gives a fuck about it. Just like they don't give a fuck how border between Ukraine and Russia will look like. If anything, Russian advancements can be used as means to discipline European governments.

In long term strategy Russia will always be US' top enemy in Europe and US will help Ukraine fighting Russians because it's in their strategic interests - no matter if US is rulled by maga's reps or tranny dems.
