They're overgrown toddlers. They aren't even allowed weapons in the barracks. In garrison the only time they're issued a firearm is for the yearly range qual. If they want personal firearms they have to be kept in the base armory to be finger fucked by any armorer that wants to.

I was in the army Cadet force at 14 and our drill was ten time better than that. They look like a herd of defeated, demoralised POWs being chivvied along.

The whole purpose of the crappy parade was to introduce Palantir as the new, can-never-fail military corp. They want to be considered the same tier as Raytheon or Boeing. Yes that Boeing, which make great military planes and questionable civilian ones.
