Hey, at least they can cancel their license. Here the state just literally steals it via taxes.

Do you need a loicense for when you go to yandex and just type in whatever it is you want to watch and add +streaming to it and stream it to the TV?

Jokes aside its honestly a good thing that you can opt out of paying for state tv. In australia you're funding the abc by default.

Not sure why all media services can't just get revenue taxed at 10% with the proceeds being ringfenced to support services like
>teacher training and workshops for kids in media literacy
>investigative journalism
>tv studios
>subsidies for programming in public interest
>public radio
>various important sport coverage
etc

State funded shit sets the tone of the market and ensures we don't get goyed.

why shouldn't she be? in Greece when you owe a parking ticket they can draw the money from your bank account, or even freeze the account, and if you are a "cash only" guy they can forward it to the IRS and there is no way out of that. if it's possible for us it is for you too.

You only need a TV licence if you're watching live UK TV in the UK. This only applies to programs being broadcasted through traditional methods. It is why you must have one if you only watch Sky Sports. As someone who doesn't watch live UK sports, I have no idea if the TV licence applies to online streaming of it.

As for this guy, he was just picked by the BBC to bully into submission, only that the BBC's game of poker face backfired. You would be surprised how many people here think that all live streaming isn't allowed without a TV licence.
