Bird-shot would help a ton. Aiming for the payload isn't the goal, it's moreso shredding any of the propellers on the drone. As soon as the things lose a propeller and lose stability, it becomes a descending/falling bomb.

real drone attacks are 98% dropping mortar rounds from higher than shotgun range.

short of bullseye the very small shell fuse with 00 buck you'd lose.

you'd lose harder because trying to shot it your entire body is very exposed to the side blast of even a near miss.

My favorite one from WWII is the training film that told soliders that a tank can't hurt them if they stay in their trench or foxhole instead of running away when tanks collapsing trenchs with their treads had been a thing for years.

Yeah, my grandfather was a Navy doctor and administered downers to the first three waves of soldiers on D day. They needed them to keep moving forward despite 90% casualties so that the German guns would keep firing, so that the US naval guns could take them out.

That scene from saving private Ryan where the dude picks up his arm and walks off was pretty accurate for how doped up the soldiers were.

after once being "Drone Raped" doing security, I'm thinking best way would be use any small drone such as DJI mini, and attach string with easy release tape. Fly over the offending drone and let its props suck in the string and jam.

Drones look down and forward, so he wont see you but you can see him. he wont know why his drone crashed, just that is disappeared. shag the batt and memory card, removable props and other spares and smash and trash the rest in case its got a hidden tracker. Wrap in double sticky tape and slap under bumper of 18wheeler at stop light.

PS "Drone Raped" is when you are minding your own biz and some drone shows up clearly in your face but just out of range so really nothing you can do because you weren't planning.

The next generation scope project has been public for like 4 years now. I think only Marines are using it so far until they get it fully refined. It's just a lpvo with a built-in rangefinder and ballistics computer that moves the reticle to auto compensate. Not sure if they've integrated the moving target lead part yet, but that was the original plan.

00 buck has effective range on man size targets of about 50yrds.

it took about two weeks for "Ukrainian" mortar droppers to create targeting software that averages 1 yard (circle radius) at about 100yrds high. IIRC main reason for extra height is noise.

If you weren't stupid you'd be able to confirm these heights from time it takes to hit from many videos.

Garand Thumb showed 00 buck as lethal to a human target at 125m. A little plastic drone needs far less than lethal-to-human power to knock it out of the sky.

00 buck is easily good to 250m straight up.

I am honestly beginning to think that some people just want to beleive that drones have ended warfare. There has long been a bunch of war hating faggot accelerationists who think they just need to invent more deadly weapons and then finally everyone will stop fighting.

NEVER.

It will never happen you fucking cucks. We will just invent new tactics or new counter weapons. The tank as a concept isn't even over, all that needs to happen is to redesign it. All current tanks are designed with WW2 in mind where all incoming projectiles are coming from the front or sides. This is no longer the case, so the armor can be thinned there and extra added to the roof or other common drone areas. Just fucking redesign and rebalance the tank with drones and top down javelin missiles in mind as the main thing it's going to go up against.

As for drones, we just need a wider spread and a faster fire rate. Can we get a semi/full auto duel barrel shotty for more spread?

Are net guns viable as an emergency weapon, like a flare gun?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofiy1oNogNg

Basically would want to fire a ball which has a small charge which opens a net around the drone.

Even if it 'misses', it'd still force the pilot into a sharp evasive manouvere which can buy you valuable seconds to shoot down/hide/run.

In numbers they'd become pretty effective, too.

Would be a cheap counter which could save 2% of lives.

True, but it claimed you were SAFE as long as you stayed in your hole. It was clearly trying to trick them into dying in place and slowing the Germans down as much as possible instead of trying to survive.

skeet shooting practice from a moving platform to shoot down drones. most likely to shoot down drones that are attacking convoy vehicles since they're vulnerable and out in the open during transit. hard to say if that'd do anything against bigger drones though.

There's a drone range in the SW somewhere (forget). Setting up a rail would be interesting but just use a 4wheeler course.

You say this, but every time there's a fire in my county they send hunters out with the smoke jumpers to shoot down the drones retarded transplants use to look at the fire which makes air drops difficult. There were so many volunteers last time the Sheriff's office was thinking about turning it into a lottery.

I am sick of the drone fear porn, they aren't that fucking deadly you fucking cowards.

Teal are pretty squirrelly, but can't say I've been dove shooting.
Ever shoot partridge in the woods? Catch them in the open and they're dumb as shit, get them in the trees and suddenly they have a fucking Red Bull logo stamped to their ass and are now racing like champs.
