Only 51% of India has internet access, of that 51% only 1/2th of that is strong and steady enough to run Youtube.
51% of indias population equates to 700 million, half of that is 350 million.
That means there are currently 1 BILLION indians without STEADY internet access.
This lack of access is a literal wall protecting EVERY messageboard, comment section, forum, and any form of internet communication from being OVERRUN with literal street shitting, braindead messages/scams/sexual harrassment.
If the Indian goverment ever decides to make nationalwi fi the internet landscape will forever change.
They have no alt-net like China, sub par english is taught in their schools since pre-school, some might faulter at Captchas but how many manage to trial and error through? they would pour into the net to escape their street shitting lives.
I sometimes lay awake at night pondering on this.
