Forces too scattered. Monkeyman attacked from three sides. Lost at north, won a little in south, east is a mess. Reckless and overly confident. Should've focused on north, this way he'd capture the capital, and maybe even could cut off and encircle east.
Allocating so many recourses in the east is crude and brutish. East is vast, hundreds of little villages, fields and empty space. In the east you can waste decades without significant progress. You can turn any bublefuck town into a backmut.
A quick win would've been focusing on north mainly, secondary south, and defense only east.
Now it's too late. Now the whole war is mostly an eastern attrition meat grinder.

NATO cannot mobilize more man than the Ukraine or Russia, simple as.
The entirety of US Marines can muster enough boots on the ground to maybe engage with a single battle group.
