>I'd rather freeze

Sometimes i think the whole Germanic supremacy thing is a myth because of you fuckers.

When a cheap resource presents itself, take it, especially if it means befriending a nuclear behemoth.

But hey, hope it was worth it, now we're reliant on the Jewnited States of Muttshartica. Enjoy the niggers

Realistically Europe will go back to buying Russian oil because it's cheaper and the US ran its soft power into the ground. Looking at the approval rates the US had in Europe in the 90s is wild, but after 2001 it fell off a cliff. So between two countries that Europe hates they'll buy from the one offering cheaper resources, the only alternative is kicking out the current leadership and dismantling the welfare state, but I sincerely doubt Europe will give up quality of life to go work in the coal mines or start another winter war to tap Russian resources.

You understand that the mutt shartmart, bbc, etc memes are mostly recent things right? It's a forced meme made by Europe because they wanted to sideline the US for cheap energy. I can understand conscientiously picking Russia for practical reasons, but people honestly believe this at this point. The US was like 85% white in the 80s with the majority of blacks in the south, all of the demographic shift came recently from hispanics and NAFTA. Stalin's favorite movie was Circus, it was about a woman in the US who was being threatened by a lynch mob for having a black baby who then fled to the USSR to find acceptance. The USSR had pro-diversity propaganda back when the US wouldn't even show a black guy on MTV in the 1980s. Literally the first black guy on MTV was Michael Jackson. In fact the US axed New Hollywood in 1989, there wasn't anything like gangsta rap prior to the 90s all of the nigger culture started picking up in the 2000s. If media is reality then reality radically changes almost every decade.

Just don't get overly reliant next time. You can still trade with Russia, just don't let them get more than a 10-20% market share. Develop multiple relationships from here on out with different countries and suppliers. Use the cheap routes to subsidize the increased price of the more expensive or volatile supply wise.
Keep a pipeline with Russia. Develop the gas fields Ukraine has taken back if the war actually ends (pic related). Get a pipeline through Turkey into Azerbaijan (and an offshoot into Iraq). Now that Syria is overthrown, take advantage and get the East-Med pipeline into Israeli offshore gas. Help the Saudis build a pipeline through Syria to get oil (and help them ramp up another East-West pipeline so Iran can't control if you get oil). Take advantage of how close Nigeria is. Keep a few LNG ports just to have the option. Etc.
Then play them all off against each other for price. Like an actual market. Don't rely solely on the U.S. either. Strategic Ambiguity made "The West" strong during the cold war by offering a plethora of solutions whenever a crisis presents itself. Just like with defense spending making the U.S. (and each one of it's weapons) a too big to fail institution (when in reality we could easily have generalist and specialized equipment), Europe is much too reliant on the U.S guaranteeing international trade and resource markets. This is asking for a major problem.
It will be expensive and potentially unpopular since it will ask Europe to take an active and deployed presence around the world. Militarily, Institutionally and Economically.

Nigger its been investigated by the dutch, they made a documentary about it even. they found the boat used, eye witnesses, they even spoke to the hohols who did it over the phone. It was hohols with american assistance. There's literally a rental fishing craft with residue from underwater explosives on it and every location that boat stopped that day had witnesses confirming ukrainian men on board.

There's a study on that too, many europeans did freeze, cold killed more europeans than covid that winter. Not because there wasn't any gas but because it was prohibitively expensive so poor elderly people in damp homes just turned the heat off and died in their sleep. 80 year olds don't get through winter if its +3°c in their damp little rental home.

It is not, my energy bill almost hit €6.000 that year. Grocery stores were selling electric blankets and 'candles' for heating. It is entirely within reason poor people simply turn the heating off if there is no way for them to afford using it. The energy crisis in europe was very real and for the poor it was brutal.
