She was found out and she was sentenced to pay 27 000 euros as a compensation to Finnish government

Woman had a Syrian passport and used it for a ruse in Finland "I need an asylum"
It was granted in Pedersöre town in Ostrobothnia.
Woman stayed in Finland for a few years without anyone noticing anything weird.
Except it was a bit curious that she put her native language as Arameaic in the papers and talked with asylum officials in English since nobody speaks Aramean.
Officials felt its a bit weird that womans English was perfect American English but she got the asylum regardless.
A few months ago, USA embassy contacted Finland and asked "has this woman been seen"
At that point Finland realized the woman was US citizen who had simply bought some Syrian passport somehow at some point.
She had told to officials her name is a Syrian name which was a lie, her real name is a typical American name but will not be published. There were records of her living in Texas and owning a house there at least in year 2015.
She did worked in Finland though, as a cashier who speaks English in Pedersöre county.
She was sentenced just now to pay 27 000 euros for fraud and she will be deported to USA, not Syria.
