I was born just in time to remember when life existed without mobile phones being EVERYWHERE. I never had one until 2021. I struggle to imagine what it's like not even knowing life without it. Yes. Although thankfully due to my natural proclivities (sperg) in addition to my parents I was never that involved in any of it really. I completely agree though, to have such habits deeply ingrained and normalised in you from such an early age, there was truly no chance of escape.
