Realistically, and in my own experience, most office jobs require minimal work and the average office worker “works” for about 3-4 hours a day unless they work for a huge corporation where the work never ends. Between lunch, bathroom breaks, bullshitting in the breakroom and hallways, and just all around phone scrolling, I’d say that it’s probably closer to maybe 1-4 hours of work a day. Anything else is just acting theatrical in the office for optics. Showing up at an office is purely theatrical for 98% of the people that go there every day.
