Had some faggot ex employer send me death threats 3 times, with the third one being 7 years after I quit and had no contact with them.
I called my local sheriff and they told me that it was likely a scam and to just ignore it and hung up (despite me having documented proof it was them and past reports).
Same guy had a history of doing this. His company is known to sell pirated software, scam vulnerable customers like Alzheimer patients, and the guy himself would bring questionable aged girls into the office that always seemed distressed (I suspected sex trafficking).
Despite all my reports, nothing. All this time later he's running a startup that he scams stupid people with crowd funding.
7 years in, their scam startup has barely $100k revenue (likely faked), a few hundred thousand in assets, and $9m in debt despite raising like $7m. Yet they go out and beg every year for money.
