No one thinks Canada would be added as a state. It would be annexed as a territory.

Are Canadians unaware of how unaware Americans are of Canada?
Your country could disappear, and we wouldn't notice until the pipelines started to run dry.

Canadians are being prideful by just believing that they're *that* important to the average American.
No one down here is talking about making Canada the 51st state.

A province like Alberta could negotiate its way into becoming a US state. It's unprecedented but if there was enough support I could see a president like Trump working a deal to make it happen.

Annexation wouldn't happen unless we started letting China build bases here or something

Ignorance is a Canadian idea.

If I watch someone take repeated blows to the face, I just have to proclaim "I didn't see anything".

If I tried to help the guy, the person who cries "I didn't see anything" would 100,% call the cops and have me arrested for "using violence"

And then a boomer judge would tell me two wrongs don't make a right, while offering sympathy to the original assailant.

As a Canadian, I would rather see 1,000,000 Canadian women be sexually assaulted, than a SINGLE person use violence to stop it.

Earth to Canadians: the US has a system of checks and balances, and our President isn't like a PM with a parliamentary majority who can do practically anything he likes.
The President can't admit new states, and not a single member of Congress has taken his rhetoric seriously and introduced legislation for it, nor has Trump even requested it.

It's the state part that is a lie.

Canada is technically a type of entreatied property, so it can just be purchased directly from the Crown. Which it sort of is with that golden dome thing.

It's more like: the Crown, as the agent of the indingenous treaty lands, is able to sublet it's ownership through its rights of land to which ever nation. We currently think its China thanks to the Trudeau era collapses.

The Crown only owes dollars to the indegenous tribes because of the land treaties, and that leaves the Crown as a real estate broker for 10% of the Earth .

The US simply just has to buy the lease if its available.

The treaty terms are forever, kek.

It makes a lot more practical sense to admit the individual provinces and territories as new states with the right to self-govern. Admitting the states of Mexico also instantly solves immigration issues. The federalization of North America can occur diplomatically through a referendum.
