I would gladly join the war on the side of China, even if I were to get offed by a bullet the first nanosecond of my deployment, cause the waste of that one bullet by the enemy would bring the glorious plan of Chairman Xi a tiny bit closer to fruition.

China is no stranger to having genocide level deaths as normal parlance.

There are two main scenarios I can think of.
>spare its economic gems and siege it until they surrender
>destroy everything and conquer it as a matter of national pride

reunification is an inevitability
It literally cannot be stopped unless you have regime change in Beijing
Taiwan is already too economically dependent on the Mainland to fight it
They might not even fire a bullet

This. It's up for China how they solve this.

Typical NATO/EU wargaming that is incapable of seeing things through enemy eyes. China will wait until the moment is ripe and Taiwan's puppet government will run out of options within a week. There will be no massacres, this is all western propaganda to legitimize US/NATO/EU interference.

They will just continue to corrupt and buy the opposition party there and eventually the diploannex will take place relatively peacefully. Even more so as the US continues to slide off into irrelevance and fiscal ruin. The absolute worst thing the Chinks could do is an act of warfare or violence over the issue

The one selling point US has left is billionaires from virtually nothing. Once it goes forward with stupid and runs them off to pander to people that don't even have bank accounts, whatever nation they land in will thrive. We will have fat people that don't have 1.50 for the bus.

No, not really. The most 'advantageous' thing for them to do, is if there is an immediate chance of loss of taiwan, to destroy the entirety of it's chip manufacturing.

This is the only way to stop china from taking it for themselves.

The real question is are the Chinese looking to preserve the buildings and populations or are they just going to bomb the island into the sea? If they're just going to flatten it there's not a lot to be done, but if they are looking to have something left afterwards then things could be done.

The perfect invitation for China to start invading.
