Than when he met his wife he left the city and whatever community he developed there to get a house in some random “up-and-coming” luxury”suburb” that was just developed by my me developstein in 2010 with a strict HOA and a bunch of neighborhoods who did the exact same thing and view any sort of interaction beyond quick small talk as odd.

People talk about how boomers ruined everything but in many ways they were just the product of the massive social/economic/poltical change that happened in the West after WW2 and to them all of this shit seemed new and totally fine, the economy was booming, America was on top and to them all of this stuff was just what victory looked like.
