For example, at my work. I work as a marine engineer. My hands are often dirty. My phone, if I even have it on me, is under my overalls.
I quite regularly go hiking. When I do, my phone is at the bottom of my rucksack, turned off. I don't want that distraction when I am enjoying the outdoors.
A watch is just a much more convenient way to keep track of time. And I never need to worry about it running out of battery, because it doesn't have a battery.
What are you going to do if your phone runs out of battery, or you lose it? Ask people on the street for the time like some kind of peasent hahahaha
