Yeah its here, as in /pol/. /pol/ is the epitome of everything this book was warning about. Whats funny about this book is that it was written as a CIA sponsored rightwing propaganda pamphlet against communism. But once it was published leftists were the ones who ended up loving it because it was a classic example of rightists accusing leftists of everything they're guilty of doing. Hilarious.

BTW yes the CIA literally did sponsor shit shit, as well as animal farm. HIGHLY unusual for the CIA to sponsor adaptations of films...

I do like 1984 though. Just not for any of the reasons anyone on the right would. I like it cuz it describes all of the rightwing's strawmen of leftists and in the process elucidates all of the right's own tactics to mindcontrol the public in a classic example of "accuse my enemy of all of my own crimes."

I think I have seen you in other threads as well, where you refered to a study about right wingers being extremely prone to "disgust", a neurological condition which would make them easy to manipulate.
There is some truth to that, but in a sense that right-wingers also perceive "sanctity" as an extreme opposite to disgust. Leftists, since they are not grounded in any metaphysical absolute, cannot experience disgust the same way, because if there is nothing that is holy in and of itself, if there is nothing that "generates", there can't really be de - generacy.
