I honestly don't see any way out for the country
there isn't one or two things failing, it's almost every single level of society
mass immigration is massive and extremely punishing. it needed to get under control 5-10-15 years ago but instead it's not only not under control it isn't even particularly close to being under control
but on top of that the country has pretty much no actual advantages other than its people, the best and most ambitious of whom are leaving the country at a level that has never happened before
the only productive area is london, and it's surrounded by shithole ghettoes
all the other major cities and population centers like birmingham are so shitty the average american honestly can't understand it
I could write about this topic for hours, there are so many problems the deeper you look anywhere in the country, foundational problems, aging shitty infrastructure, deadweight old people, deadweight immigrants, deadweight regions of the country
it's more fucked than anybody here even realises, I can't even imagine a path where the uk turns out well
