Yes it is exactly what it looks like. Bullets are propelled by expanding gas from the gunpowder being set off. It isn’t a big explosions, there’s sometimes some muzzle flash but with the right muzzle device you don’t really see any. My main rifle is set up such that there’s no flash at all. So yeah it's just wind coming out. I shoot small stuff like raccoons, pigs, and foxes on my property using an AR-15 chambered in 556. I usually shoot .223 but it’s pretty much like your video.
Like doesn’t look like a video game anon. Heads don’t just explode. A .223 is a small round too. Almost the smallest. It never bursts heads. Maybe an AR-10 but probably not that either. A shotgun probably would.
