>>509128500This is so true. Like how none of the NATO countries ever spend what they pledge to spend until they get called out, Canada included. They are the first to screech about the importance of NATO, except when it comes to actually paying what they promise. Then they cry poverty, and expect their "friend" the US to cover everything.
You can see it with this "trade war" with Canada. At first, all the Canadians and their pols were all talking really tough, fuck the US, Doug Ford running his mouth about he's going to cut off all our electricity. Where is that tough talk now? Fact is, Canada is a parasite on the US economy, and the US can dictate any terms we want.
Carney: "Could you please pay this digital tax, Mr. Trump? We need the money to fund more jeet welfare."
Trump: "Fuck off, no trade at all then."
Carney: "Sorry Sir, I'll remove the tax. Please negotiate with me now."
All the while, Canadians are booing the US anthem and posturing like they are tough guys. The US is like a rich guy going out for drinks with a bunch of unemployed countries. They keep ordering rounds, and except the US to pick up the tab.
