I didn't like the pacing of BAR, reminds me of StarCraft back in the day, frantically clicking on shit. I prefer something like Space Haven, or Rim World where the focus is less on frantic warfare, and more on managing the fine details; maintaining oxygen levels and making sure there's carbon for my gas scrubbers. Harvesting organs and selling anyone who crosses me into slavery.
I get the appeal though and the devs seem cool as fuck.

It's so good. I have no protection as it is a "spiritual successor" to an owned IP but it will work and be nicely done. Hopefully it will launch like COH series and get better over time.

I am biased to the COH series, I think relic out did Blizzard's WC3. Blizzard really only had custom maps after 500 hours of WC 3.

Release is a tricky question. They are trying to get it on steam, but there's a licensing issue because it's based off of a much older game Total Annihilation. But it is free to download and play right now. You definitely want to watch a couple of tutorials before you go online though. It is a fairly deep game to learn while playing.

I miss me old C&C games RIP Westwood. Also SupCom FA is basically the best next to Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. People are too fuckin lazy to balance game art that is RTS games and too many people have potatoes and toasters that can't run good RTS games.

Roguetech is a solid strategy game that doesn't have base-building though. But Battletech always gets a pass.
