Autogynephilia is caused from overconsumption of porn, worse if it's lesbian porn, as both hetero and lesbian porn puts women's pleasure on a pedestral, rather than your own.
This disorder is intensified if you've never had sex, or has been too long since you've had it; have any degree of autism, borderline disorder and/or schizophrenia; use escapisms, such as anime or social media, the latter without using your name and IRL photos, thus allowing you to "be whoever you want"; little to no healthy male friends; little to no contact with women; poisoned sex relations due to feminism; and have had an absent father, thus lacking a male role model. Misandry could have an effect too, but I'm not sure.
That being said, I find it to be harmless sexual escapism as long as there's a constant reminder of autogynephilia being a fetish. I guess having a hairy body and beard makes for a great, permanent and constant reminder of that.

but the biggest is that being a woman is a kind of cheat code around antisocial death spirals. as a man to form a social life from nothing takes an insane amount of hoop jumping to be even just welcome and accepted. as a woman, if you're a 6 or above, you literally just have to show up and you can have everything from acceptance and community, to deep friendships and marriage.
getting to be a woman is extremely attractive to men who are socially isolated. so yeah, anime fans.
