I was born & raised in Alaska but live in Michigan now. Ive lived on both coasts and states in between. Personally I like the Great Lakes Region because I boat. The sunrise side of Michigan or up in the St. Lawrence seaway part of New York. I've done the mountains, plains, down south but I like the lakes.

The cloud cover doesn't matter if you have a boat but I don't. I do pier fishing. Clouds are great both for reducing the water temperature and my temperature. Also the good fish have sensitive eyes so they don't bite as much when it's super bright. All in all, I like cloudy days.
