Orthodox Christianity is not all Russian. We have our own Orthodox church, Greeks have their own, both of them completely separete from the Russian one. Ethiopeans have their own, etc. In some cases, those churches have better relationships with some Catholic churches than with the Russian Orthodox one.

It is known that there have been _some_ attempts to infiltrate EO by the KGB, but due to the decentralized nature of the clergy, the church as a whole is basically incorruptible.
Orthodoxy is based and more people in the west are seeing it. I live in a big degen city and our orthodox fundamentals class is regularly attended by ~10 inquirers and catechumens. EO is growing and will continue to do so, God willing.
