My parents are boomer hippies (literally) who rebelled against their parents. My parents are idiots and I always respected their parents, that being my grandparents far more. They were the so-called greatest generation. My grandparents were very grounded, conservative people, blue collar, but their kids rebelled for whatever reason. My great grandpa was the toughest and most masculine man I ever knew. The women in the house always shushed when he was talking.
He was a cattle rancher who raised bulls too and he would get up before the crack of dawn and work late into the evenings. He spent most of his time outdoors, great hunter too.
He had this big mustache and big knife in his belt. He had leather like skin and was lean and strong as hell.
