You guys complain about how wagecucking for Mr. Shekelberg is a bad thing and normally I would agree, but I've come to realize something. I had a surgery on my hand that's had me out on medical leave for about a month now and you would think sitting on your ass at home while collecting a paycheck is dream come true, but truth be told this shit fucking sucks because I actually like my job. I make about 50k a year which isn't much but I like doing what I do because as a man it gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. What is a man without sense a purpose? Nevertheless I can't wait to get back to work because there's no greater feeling in the world than to be able to do something you like and get paid for it.

The vast majority of jobs don't give a sense of purpose or fulfillment. There are over 3 million cashiers in the United States, another 3 million people are housekeepers or janitors, they scrub toilets all day. It used to be the case that people did these jobs because they had families to provide for so they had no choice, but when you take that away there is no reason to do them.
