If you have an undergrad-level understanding of physics and chem, and you've studied pure math up until the Henri Poincare era, you've got more than enough wisdom and mental hardware to derive the laws of zero-point energy from first principles. It's not "illegal" or "hidden" to know about how particles work. Energy means fuck all, it's the change of energy from a concentrated form to a dilute form that does work. The air around you is filled with tons of dilute, high entropy energy, it's useless unless you have something completely devoid of energy to pour it into.
