The concept of copyrights is completely meaningless now. An AI company can literally scrape the entire Internet for copyrighted content - regardless of whether the content is freely available or pirated - then have its users mass reproduce all that copyrighted content and profit from it with basically zero restrictions, raping the content's original market in the process. As a soulless computer program incapable of learning, thinking or feeling, AI cannot exist without content creators, yet content creators are going extinct because of AI. If things continue at this pace, by 2030 nothing new will ever be produced again. And yet, despite this system being obviously rotten and unsustainable, judges and politicians still refuse to do anything about it. Why? The answer is simple: money. The AI market might be a bubble, but it's a bubble that will be worth trillions of dollars if it isn't already. With low-creativity countries like China, India and Israel having no desire to stop the AI train, western judges and politicians (who are often bribed directly by the AI companies) don't want to be responsible for their country's loss in the tech competition. And so we keep marching towards the abyss.
