shit where I live they actually just raised the speed limit by ten miles. which is what everyone was really doing anyways, everyone drives ten over the speed limit and cops stopped pulling people over after the nigger riots in 2020.
so if everyone was going 70 when it was 60, they're going to be 80 now that its 70.

I'm all in favor of some device that doesn't let the car go over the speed limit because of these impatient low IQ angry people always raging and driving on people's bumpers and honking. for fucks sake just leave the house early and you wont have to be in a hurry to get to me nosebergs office

It's fucking nothing

The ISA regulation provides four options for systems feedback to the driver, from which car manufacturers will be free to choose from:

Cascaded acoustic warning
Cascaded vibrating warning
Haptic feedback through the acceleration pedal
Speed control function
The first two feedback options do not directly intervene but only provide warnings (first optic and if no response from the driver, a delayed acoustic/vibrating warning), which have to be as short as possible in duration to avoid potential annoyance of the driver.

The powers that be have a new system that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime this year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.

This is only half of the truth:
1) 1st generation cars that are sold at this moment can still override or partially disable the speed limiter
2) The resistance on the gas increases making it more 'difficult' to racen but not impossible
3) Future generations and extensions on that law aim to prevent the override function
4) You'd be a moron if you'd think Europe would be the only country implementing this

there are countless stretches of autobahn where you can go as fast as you want. granted, some are ridiculously short and it is rather dangerous to pass right lane traffic at +150 their speed. average travel speed here is between 110 and 160. some fancy rides will pass you at 250 and give you a bit of an ufo experience. not that many though and often it's shitskinned 'gangsta' drivers in amg S63s.

Actually this is fair.
Why have a law limiting speed and at the same time have cars that can gonfaster than the speed limit.
So you can generate profit for the state from fines.
This is the ultimate capitalistic scam.
They sell you a fast car and thus intentionally push you to go over the speed limit, so they can fine you later.

Finnaly they made it happen - to stop extortioning you with fines for speeding.

You wanna go fast. Excellent go on a racing track. You can even have a racing car and you foot need to pay for it any taxes , fees from regiatering it, coz it will not be a publically road driven car.

so you can overtake safely someone driving 139,95 km/h?
truth be told it would suffice to be capped at 170 in this scenario - also they think about changing the legal speed limit to 150 so car capped at 180 would be safer to overtake someone going 150...
additionally most if not all cars had speed limiters for decades - with each higher trim level capping - at 20km//h higher speed...

Cars are ruined because of these things in the following order:
>Smol displacement turbo charged motors
>Active fuel management/cylinder deactivation
>Dual overhead cam motors
>Variable valve timing/cam phasing
>Exhaust gas recirculation
>Dual Overhead Cam

I mean you can still avoid these things but it will be an older vehicle.

A great deal of their identity is built on smugness, so even if they do something objectively fucking gay- they still have to sort of defend it try to ignore it. They cant just admit they are doing something gay. 2. Double the complexity
3. Completely unnecessary
4. IF you do get stuck with cam phasing etc. (modern vehicles) in a pushrod engine you have basically added a timing system on a timing system. If you have VCT on a DOHC you have not only added another timing system you have added two new timing systems. It's so fucked.

The problem is people are like women and children about motor vehicles and dont understand a goddam thing about them. So I'm not going to try and obfuscate sorry doings in the US. When we do something gay I'm first in line to complain.

The cars/trucks situation is top five for me. Modern vehicles are so hoplessly fucked and the sick thing is that two decades ago we were getting close to perfecting them and then turned the ship around 180 degrees and drove it right into a fucking ice berg. It drives me nuts I hate it and I certainly am not going to try to minimize it for banters' sake. But these EU people are (generally speaking) the only folks in the world with even worse more fucked up modern vehicles than us and yet they have this thing where they almost defend it?? i don't think this is about speed. we have the option to go as fast as the car can and some do. that's autobahn and dangerous enough when speed difference between lanes is too crass. i try to adhere to speed limits when i understand why they are there. in many cases it is obvious that the ruling kikes just want to make some extra money. fines go to the community where speeding occurs, so we got a lot of those mobile setups. this is about moving toward big brother state. no step one takes is private any longer and schizoid jewish fear is what causes this. it won't help much when nissan trucks with masked men come for the gated communities.

Even pre VVT dohc engines require a much more complex than a pushrod engine more bearings, journals, more belts/chains, more complicated valves etc. Also the valves and heads have to be more robust and finely tuned. They are physically larger set ups and as a result they reduce the displacement that would otherwise fit in a vehicle. The entire mechanism is generally much less forgiving and requires a much higher tolerance. Just think about what the pushrods and rockers are doing- they way they move- they basically require low tolerance and because the DOHC assembly is activating the valve directly with the cam it has to be machined PRECISELY.

It is inherently inferior in terms of repairability and access to the engine.

Perhaps.
>more belts/chains
most pushrod engines use a chain to drive the cam. So same number there.
>more complicated valves
Simpler actually, since there is no rocker.
>physically larger
Yes.
>harder to repair
depends on the engine. Some DOHC engines are retardedly easy to do anything with the valvetrain, since it's right there at the top of the engine. Some pushrod engines are a pain in the ass to do a cam change, since you basically have to remove all the rockers from both heads, and then remove everything from the front of the engine to get access to it.

>most pushrod engines use a chain to drive the cam. So same number there.
There are two cams though? Its literally double kek.

And look you dont seem to be able to grasp this at a basic level- the valves and heads have to be WAY more robust and higher tolerance because the cams are literal directly activating the valves. This is not some kind of fucking argument this is basic just agreed-upon reality of a dohc. Higher performance more complexity and higher tolerances.

It's just a beep sound when you go over speed limit that you can turn off. Usually it just turns itself on again once you start the car again but that's about it. It's a nothingburger.
I usually drive a shitbox though, so beeps like that usually mean damage to the car for me. It took a while to get used to it and stop having my fight or flight instinct triggered.

None but thats because it turned out the German jews rule everyone, hence why everyone got flooded with brown filth.

Not true. In fact, since they are moving around less mass (no pushrods or rockers), there is significantly less force acting on them.

Look it is so fascinating to see someone try to argue uphill at such a well understood common knowledge principle of engine design. There seems to be no disagreement that the timing system is more complex on dohc- this is obvious. Longer chains, double everything, more precise tension, etc etc.

So about the valves and heads... The heads have to house every fucking thing TWICE OVER. the bearings, journals, the cams themselves, *double oil passages,* and the goddam cams are at the top of the motor instead of sitting in an oil bath like a push rod engine kek. In order to perfectly actuate the valves the cams (two of them) have to have *perfect* geometry and alignmnent. There is zero room for tolerance at all. The alignment has to be ideal unlike a cam in block.

Now let's talk about the goddam symetrical exhaust ports are way higher tolerance and way more fundamentally complicated as a design just look at a goddam picture of them.

The bigger issue is retards not checking their mirrors/blind spots, riding the left lane and not passing, and absolute fuckwits merging onto the highways and interstates going below the speed limit while everyone is going 10 over. Semi-trucks and haulers get a pass because a lot of freeway ramps are too short for them to speed up in time. And another reminder is that when you're merging onto the freeway, you don't have the right of way and nobody NEEDS to let you merge, especially if you're a dumbass speed-matching the guy next to you and not zipper merging

Everything I said is the manifest reality.

What happens when you lose oil pressure bozo? The top of the engine gets oil starved. Now where is the goddam cam in a pushrod engine?? It's fairly low on the motor, it certainly isnt in the heads like a dohc kek.

Can you at least bring yourself to admit that the oil passages are far more complex on a dohc?

The fucking euroretards ruled against physical buttons to disable those "features" because you could get cheap modules on Aliexpress to keep them disabled.
I have a module for disabling the start-stop "feature".

Look vin diesel no one gives a fuck about that street racing adolescent shit.

We are talking about the functionality of motors, the repairability, the reliability, the ability to work on them yourself, and the nexus between performance and repairability and simplicity. Once you become an adult you realize you arent in a fast and furious movie.. performance is good but it is only part of what makes an engine great- a car is a tool a machine not a toy. having a good nexus between performance and repairability and durability is what matters.

Depend on how they do it. Lots of modern cars use electronic control of the throttle and brakes so the computer can actually just override your input to keep the car under the speed limit.
The nicest way would be to ignore throttle input that takes you over speed, but if they make the brakes kick in automatically that further penalizes aggressive driving by wearing your pads down.
