The thing about Stalin was that his closest comrades all feared him and only obeyed him out of fear. Hitler had true fanatic followers. In this sense, comparing Stalin is a closer comparison for Trump - a lot of top Republican politicians dislike Trump (trade wars, war with Iran, his general attitude etc) but they are afraid to speak against him, because that will make them lose voters. The important distinction is that Republicans do not fear for their lives (unless they want to spill the beans on the epstein files), so the comparison is retarded.
