I had to complain for three months before they made the lights in my apartment work the way they always should have in the first place.
For every shitty tenant who fucks up an apartment, there's a shitty landlord who knows he can just rent said abused apartment someone else while maintaining only minimal standard of living, often literally just painting over said apartment. In fact, the worse an apartment is, the more likely it is that people are being overcharged for it.
