As someone who has been a Communist since the early 2000s, involved numerous times in orgs and countless marches and whatever, I feel I have a pretty good authority to claim that the modern Western "left" has no basis in Marxism, Marx, Communism or Socialism. In fact most "Leftists" actually have a strong dislike for regular working class people and their local communities.
The modern Western far-left, is nothing more than a counter-culture. It's no different from Punk, or Black Metal or whatever. What drives, the vast majority of Leftists, is that they grew up boring suburban, cultureless lives, and they use "Communism" to rebel against their parents and boring "get off my lawn" normies around them. They think Communism will basically bring about a cultural utopia where they get to live the life of a New York Socialite and all normie culture is destroyed and everyone becomes an psued arthoe like them. Not kidding, in every Socialist org I've ever been a part of, Sport was literally referred to as "Sportsball" in a scoffing manner.
Many go further and will support Open Borders and mass immigration, because they are functionally blackpilled and want to see society torn around around them and everyone suffer. "Socialism", and by "Socialism" I just mean LGBT wokie politics under the guise of a red flag just gives them a "moral highground" to be an antisocial fucktard.
If this was the 1970s or 1980s the vast majority of modern ""Communists"" would just look like pic related. Because that is all this is, a counter culture. The amount of times, I've gotten into shit and been dressed down, or banned from online communities, for holding the EXACT SAME POSITION WORD FOR WORD as Marx or Lenin is fucking wild. Again, this is because these people have no materialist basis. Most of the far-left are just fucking antisocial losers seething at normies and pretty much all "Democratic Socialists" are just Social Democrats who want Turbo Liberalism welfare state.

all correct but it goes deeper than that, no social movement has ever been "organic", all they have to do is plant some figurehead and honeypot anyone who is remotely discontent enough to want to do anything. let a group grow for a while and it'll look organic, but notice how many figureheads are almost always jewish, again, not a single cultural movement has ever been organic, including your picrel
