>>509234246 (OP) the SALT deduction changes are fucking stupid, i agree. the only thing stupider is pretending extending the existing tax cuts is a change in tax policy.
>>509234373 >the only thing stupider is pretending extending the existing tax cuts is a change in tax policy They can't claim the bill will spur growth if it's existing policy, it's retarded because they're picking it's new policy when it has good outcomes and current policy when it has bad outcomes
>>509234317 https://www.jct.gov/publications/2025/jcx-23-25/ More like the official nonpartisan scoring body of congress. You know, the one that actually determine what the tax cuts actually do?
Never seen someone more btfo lmao

>>509234373 >>509234525 It's like if Dems passed a Medicare For All bill with a 1 year expiration and then the following year extended the bill permanently under "current policy", making Medicare For All effectively without cost

>>509234246 (OP) >$1m+ paying more of total taxes >every other bracket except under $15k is paying less
The image you posted literally shows you're wrong. Absolute dollars decrease because that top bracket already pays significantly more than any other bracket by both % of their income and % of total revenue.
>>509234525 nonsense. everything else in the bill will spur growth. extending existing tax policy is just preventing collapse of existing growth already on the books.
>>509234246 (OP) >Over 80% of the total cuts are going to people making over 200k per year. I'm not so fond of the bait and switch on "no tax on tips" or raising taxes on the lowest bracket, but this, I really, really, really don't give a shit about. It doesn't matter a bit to me if someone else has more money than I.
>>509235197 >just give tax cuts to richfags and throw it all on the debt that will eventually collapse America while the middle class is struggling dying >I don't even care lmao
>>509235291 Don't worry burger boy keep seething, you're two more weeks of being angry about things from your anger changing reality into a version you're more willing to accept

>>509235227 >>509235291 So fuck off with the deficit spending then. This is the one thing I respect about the Democrats, at least they waste our time pretending to give a shit.
>>509235402 >So fuck off with the deficit spending then I would be perfectly fine with that. The country would be better and inflation would be lower if this monstrosity didn't pass.
>>509234317 >>509234246 (OP) The round of tax cuts Trump wants to make permanent moved corporate taxes on stock buy backs from 37% to 21%. Trump even commented on the failure of his bill to produce a benefit to workers and consumers by saying "he didn't know" they would just manipulate stocks and give themselves huge payouts. Rubio floated the idea regulate stock buy backs (which used to be illegal until Reagan) and the finance industry threw a bitch fit.
