I've never met a mormon who wasn't an almost frustratingly decent person. I've got significant issues with their cosmology and some sketchiess with their organizational structure based on experiences interacting with their "elders" in sort of informal interfaith dialogs but whatever weirdness is there is clearly superseded by the christian character of the faith. I think john smith and the early church leaders were occultist charlatans with clear hermetic influences by of freemasonry, that it's very good they've moved away and distanced themselves from some of those teachings a bit, I have zero respect for the book or mormon part of things, and fear that things could have gone very different and far worse there but in the end the it all seems to have worked out ok and the bible, perhaps unsurprisingly, exerted a much greater influence on them so they're alright in my book.
