My fiance always scrolls this message board at night, I always see his pink screen. I checked his browser history just to make sure everything is ok and hes not cheating on me or anything strange. He is on here every night. What is this place? I cant tell if you guys are joking or if I should be concerned about his well being. I see a lot of racist and anti trans and jewish stuff on here, but that does not fit his personality. Should I be worried???

Doesn't necessarily mean anything. If you're interested in news and politics but want to see unfiltered, uncensored discussion you go here. Yeah you will see a lot of racist rants. But also if you hear them talking about something on CNN and then you check what /pol/ is saying about the same topic you will most likely hear about it from angles you never considered before, or even see evidence contradicting the official narrative.

I’m just here to get the jump on news as it happens, usually learning about things hours to days ahead of the mainstream news cycle. I sent my fiancé into the world vehemently defending 4chan as being a place of good(based on the things I told her, even though I mentioned one does have to read around alot of BS), but she stopped singing its praises after visiting a few times.
