i'm not sure what it is with hystorylets and wanting to imagine matriarchies at every turn. You can't even have matriarchy in modern civilization because women are just unable to organize unless there is men building boxes around them to keep them contained. Women will literally go on a picnic and get lost or get scared and go home unless a man isn't around or there isn't a clear beaten path for them to mindlessly follow. A matriarchy would be an extraordinary feat, which is why it has never really been accomplished in history. In fact women with the most power existed in China, because that's the MOST patriarchal society at its core, thus allowing the most structure for women to do well in. And even then you see women fall apart the moment the patriarchal order is missing for a week
